All work on car performed by The Wedge Shop.
Since purchasing the car, I have replaced the cigar lighter / power outlet, indicator signal switch, and I have kept 20W-50 in the engine since owning it. The oil is changed at a minimum of twice a year, once when removing from hibernation, once before returning to hibernation. This car is stored in dry storage in Idaho, so it is only regularly driven two weeks annually. The remainder of the time it is kept covered in dry storage, started and driven a few miles periodically to keep the car fresh and then returned to storage. I keep the car in ID while I live in AK, so that it can be driven on road trips. The car averages between 20-26 MPG depending on how aggressively the car is driven, and has averaged as high as 27.5.
The first year I owned the car we drove it 1,200 miles around the east coast without issue. The following year we drove it cross country, from MA to ID. Since then, we have driven the car on several extended trips, with the last one being a trip running down the Columbia river into Washington state, down the Oregon coast, and back to ID, during which the car ran without incident.
In June of this year, I replaced the steering column bushing, the alternator, and the battery. The right boot on the steering rack leaks a little and should you wish to replace it, new rack boots are available. There is a slight leak from either the rear seal or more likely the oil pan (common), but this is just a few drops and is insignificant. The fuel sending unit has failed recently, so I have ordered a replacement, and there is a slight dent over the rear wheel on the top wing which looks as if someone just dropped something on it in a garage. While it has AC it is currently inoperable. But, I'm from Alaska-who needs AC. The car is remarkably clean and the undercarriage is spectacular, as shown in the photos.
I have a second TR8, used as a parts car only, that could be included with the car, however it is located in Alaska, and would be subject to negotiations.
Please take a moment to look at the photos below (click on any photo to enlarge), and if you should you have additional questions or wish to make an offer, please feel free to call Randy at 907-242-7707 or you may send him an email at [email protected]
